| Dr Rajeev Uberoi has vast experience in all facets of banking with special expertise in Compliance with SEBI, RBI and Company Law and Operations & Control. His areas of expertise also include Compliance with Regulations, Risk Management, etc.
He is an MBA, has a law degree and a Phd in Economics with 30 years of Banking experience in Commercial Bank (State Bank of India), Central Bank (Reserve Bank of India) and Foreign Banks (Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank).
At Standard Chartered Dr. Uberoi spearheaded American Express Bank's integration with Standard Chartered operations in India. This was his second stint with the UK-based bank after a first one in 2000-2004 when as head of the legal & compliance department, he was instrumental in managing the integration of the erstwhile Grindlays Bank with Standard Chartered.
An expert in compliance and regulations, he has also been associated with Indian Bankers Association (IBA) and has been on various committees of Reserve Bank India.
Dr. Uberoi is also the visiting faculty for risk management at IIM - Indore / Ahmedabad
